For a pumpkin patch, I would buy whichever has the highest % Imidacloprid. Imidacloprid is a good systemic for the dreaded Squash Vine Borer and other insects.

For several years I was the largest imidacloprid salesperson on Earth. LOL I guess that still qualifies me as an authority on this subject.

By itself Imidacloprid is not effective against SVB but it will decimate Cucumber Beetles, aphids & many caterpillars.

For our purposes here, all forms of imidacloprid should be soil applied & kept moist for several weeks even if the vines haven't reach the entire treatment area yet. Once at planting & again 3 weeks later.

Imidacloprid can & should be combined with a contact insecticide for SVB.

Don't get hung up on the brand name. The patent has been expired for over 2 years now & none of the generics have been found ineffective.
