I would appreciate any information on what types of fungicide to use and in what conditions. (dusting compared to spray with a liquid or wetable powder) My Desrosiers are currently under the hothouse cover and have no disease or insect problems, but in Nebraska our soon to come ultra-high-humidity will bring on the fungi. My local garden center was able to look up pumpkins in a book of theirs which showed the fungii pumpkins are prone to in specific areas of the country. It also told what active ingredient your fungicide should contain for each particular fungus. I'm not sure of the name of the book, but maybe your garden center has something similar.

I have 30 pumpkin transplants growing right now. They are just getting their 3rd leaf now. They are coming alone fairly well but I am having a problem with a "furry mold" type of fungus. It grows on the outside of my peatpots and tries to work its way in on the soil near the transplants. I contacted my local gardencenter and they told me to use a product called "NO DAMP". This product is supposed to contol dampening off (mold). I gave this product a try and it seemed to help for a little while but the problem is starting to come back again as bad as ever. I would appreciate any comments or ideas that could help cure my problem.
