As I was planting my garden (veggie) today....I found a small % of my tomatoe sprouts (4x4" pots) were loaded w/ ants and lil brown pods (guessing the ants are tending aphids) !!! How do I get rid of these!!! Merit,? the lady at Lowes said Malathion!!! All help appreciated!!! Peace, Wayne

Ortho Max- which is a mild spray of Bifenthrin will kill em. Malathion will work as well but I just dont care much for Malathion but yer ants wont either.

Jason, not worried as much about the ants...as what the lil tan pods are?? Aphids?? If so, what is the best bet to kill them lil buggers, and still leave the maters as an edible fruit? Peace, Wayne

Sorry Steve, but no pics...I picked out all the lil brown pods...smushed them...and planted the maters...was in planting mode!!! Wish I woulda thought to go get the camera and take a photo or two!!! But, like I said I was in planting mode...65 tomatoes and 35 peppers!!! Peace, Wayne PS
Lil brownish pods were approx 1/16 to 1/8 in. long and half that wide, and sorta new moon type of shape. 100's of (very tiny black) ants around 20 or so lil pods!!!
