Does anyone know which states in tha USA have the squash vine borers. As I was going trough the photo galleries I came acroos a picture of the squash vine borer moth, and I don't recall seeing any of these in western Kentucky, do we have them here? Justin

bob, not sure if you have svb's in your state, but its quite possible that you do. they usually dont show up untill mid to late june, and stick around through august. even if you've never grown pumpkins before, if they live in your area, they will find you. so a good preventative spray program should be put into effect.

Does anyone know about the Prairies in Canada? Never have I seen that type of moth.

Hi.. Yes we have them mean critters here Ky.. I almost lost a my prize pumpkin plant last year to them. Besure to spray the entire plant stem and all.
