I am new to growing pumpkins and I'm trying to get a list together of what I would need for the next season. I want to start picking things up now instead of waiting until the last minute.
Can someone post a list of what they would think I would need for the year. I've been reading a lot of the posts here and I need help making a decision on what to buy.

Merit for systemic insect control. There are several ways to get Merit, just check this message board. You will need a contact insecticide: I use bifenrin available in an Ortho Max product. Garlic powder is an excellent repellant for cucumber beetles. You can springke the powder on the plants or mix it in with foliar sprays.

One fungicide I use is Daconil. I spray the ground around where the fruti is growing, and use it to treat any wounds on the fruit. I also use Aliette as a preventative measure for some root rot problems. Don Young told me that he uses Companion biological fungicide: it works well on its own and even helps other fungicides work better.

Eagle is #1 for powdery mildew.

Aliette is cool but AGRIFOS is the same thing but much cheaper.

Mancozeb/Dithane CONTACT to halt ALS.

It's hard to beat Daconil for broad spectrum.

I've got a list started for next season. I'm going to try to have everything picked up by next season.

Thanks

Immunox Pluss worked good for me on powdery mildew , i bet the garlic barrier would work good -as i put crushed garlic around & it worked !
