I use Daconil to paint damage on the pumpkin, stem or vine, and spray it to prevent other fungus diseases I use Aliette for root rot fungal problems, although I have learned that Agri-Fos is about the same thing. I used Espoma Starter Plus with beneficial bacteria last year and that seemed to help the Aliette work better. I am also providing better soil drainage by digging drainage ditches around the patches and raising the patches up. Better drained soil = less fungus problems. I am also moving my long gourds to an area where they get better air circulation. Humid air with the breeze blocked is an invitation for fungus.
