Great I was attacked by a killer commando Woodchuck. he at the 1596's main leaf bundle. I'll be pruning to a side vine if possible. I set out a few have a hart traps and will relocate them to Brook's Patch...lol! Anyone know a way of getting them away forever. I know this is a loaded question. I've heard of the cyote Urine and the bobcat urine. What else will work and will really discourage another attack...I think one of them had an UZI and a few loaded Magazines with him.

Kenny, I use a combination of an electric fence, fox urine and a .22 magnum with a scope. What seemed to work best was when a mountain lion moved into the neighborhood last year. I went a whole season without seeing a groundhog.

snipe them with a 22/250, works good! They will be dead before they hear it go off. If you can't shoot them use a conibear trap at the entrance of there den. Good luck on your mission!!

Conibear 220. Haven't had any issue since I started using one.

The mountain lion is no joke. A lot of reliable people have been seeing them around Anamosa for several years. My son saw one just a mile away in November 2008. I found tracks in the snow by the house in January 2009. November 2009 one popped out of the bushes 15 yards away from my daughter. Her screaming woke us up at 5:30 AM and scared the cat off. December 2009 a deer hunter shot one out of a tree about 35 miles away. But the local cat must have moved on, as I am finding some holes dug in the patch. Time for high velocity lead poisoning.

Now THAT is one heck of a good shot. Must have been one of those military snipers.

35 miles? WOW! what if you miss couldn't it kill someone. Hopefully you need one heck of a permit for one of those.

No way that can't be right I just read online a military sniper can shoot up to 1.5 miles away lol. Maybe it was .35 miles away.
