Yesterday I noticed 2 little holes in my vine. My first thought was a borer but I didnt see any frass. I used a powerful little led flashlight to shine 'through' the vine but didnt see any dark spots. I filled the holes full of cyonara (contact insecticide) yesterday afternoon maybe that will kill anything that might be in there. I thought about covering the holes with a captan paste but if there IS a borer in there wouldnt that just lock him in? Im open to suggestions :)

P.S. The vine looks healthy and is growing, no sign of wilt.

I think you probably should pack those holes because no bug is going to know that's a way out. The potential for those holes becoming disease vectors is high. Of course, your vines are pretty robust and will heal themselves eventually if you don't pack them. I would watch that part of the vine over the next few days. Watch for raised areas/discoloration and, I think you did a good thing injecting with cyonara. Blessings

You're right, I wasnt thinking about it that way. I'll cover them with a captan paste today.
Thank you for replying :)
