cucurbits

Northern California Foothills

Either today or yesterday I noticed something has been eating the petals off some of the male flowers on my ag pumpkin plants. It's doing this to spent blossoms and young ones that haven't bloomed yet. My other maximas do not have this problem. My garden is fenced in so it must be quite small. What is it and how can I control it(organically)?

cucurbits - I've had a similar problem and yesterday discovered it was a giant crow picking at the blossom.

There's two crows that live around here so that would make sense. I think I'll put cover them with tulle.

Garlic spray can sometimes attract Italians.

I think it may be blue jays actually. There was a dead one in their a few days ago. Other cucurbits are being affected.
