I am starting to wonder if what I thought to be a fungus problem is really the beginning of Cucumber Mosaic Virus (CMV). I have not been able to find much on the subject, other than "REMOVE ALL INFECTED PLANTS IMMEDIATELY". Well, that's fine, but how can I tell that I have it?? The only pictures I have been able to find have yellow blotches and look nothing like what I have. I am starting to see deformed leaves which is causing my concern. Any information on the subject would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

....Or possibly some other kind of Mosaic Virus (SqMV)?

Right now the only symptoms are crinkled leaves.

After an exhaustive web search I have come to the conclusion that at least one of my plants (186 Saylor) is infected with some kind of Mosaic Virus. There are many forms of this virus, and the closest variant seems to be the Squash Mosaic Virus (SqMV). Should anyone suspect they have a virus or other type of disease, I suggest you pay a visit to the "Cucurbit Disorders" web page. This site hosts pictures of all kinds of diseases and was invaluable in my identification of the disease. You can find it at:

Only time will tell whether or not any of my other plants have been infected. I will post several leaf shots in my growers diary; hopefully it will help someone else to identify the virus in the future. --Bruiser

Thanks for posting this. It help me find out whats wrong with 3 of my plants. They have the some type of mosaic virus too. At first I thought the symtoms was cause by over fertilization or too much rain and not enough sun.

Good Luck
