can you prevent PM from spreading to other plants? I have a bad case of it on one vine but dont see any symptoms of it on the other vine (YET) should I even bother trying to fight it?

You could cut the effected leaves off. Prevents spores from spreading to other leaves.

Yes, spray the uninfected plant to prevent it. Spray the infected one to slow the spread.

Go online, find "Plant Wash" by Soil Mender Products, get some and use it, one oz. /gal. and spray entire plant once a week from top to bottom, leaves, stems, exposed vine and surface of soil near plant.

If soil is biologically active and plant parts are cleansed with an appropriate solution and on a routine schedule one can definitely control PM. Use the same product on your tomato plants, squashes,....anything that grows and could even be visited by insects that you might think are just 'hanging out' for a while. Garden hose watering, alone, just is not adequate.

PM can be spread by us unfortunately by contact as we tend the plant. It sticks to socks/shoes/pants/shorts when the leaves are damp. Staying away from the affected part when it's wet would help alittle.
