My prettiest is getting scarred up and eaten under the quilts by what I am assuming is field mice. I can't use poison bait due to our pets and the neighbors. Unfortunately the neighbors cat is not helping me out. I saw someone using moth balls and was wondering if it worked. I have had an occurrence or two in the past but this is the worst.
Thanks
John

Can you use a mouse trap ? I had one under one of my pumpkins, and got it with a trap. Actually got two, and had something drag the trap about 15 feet away.

I don't think a mouse trap would hurt a cat very much even if it stuck it's face in it. Cats are very tough critters.
Good luck,
Lee

Mouse traps with peanut butter as bait, moth balls, decon cubes. Get more cats. Unbelivable year here with mice this year. Last year just dealt with one mouce all season. This year I am up to 6 mice, 1 mole, 2 chipmucks, (with traps) plus what my cats get. My neighbor has pulled out 12 out of their pool this year. They are like falling out of the trees this year. Told my neighbor, not to take this the wrong way, but I hope the rest of them in the area decide to have a pool party too. lol.

Just put some rubbing aclohol on the scares, they will heal over like a scab.

Hey John,
Both of my pumpkins that we loaded for Cooperstown each had a mouse nest underneath! Could this be some kind of sign??? I had fabric under both as well!

John, I just discovered gnaw marks underneath my pumpkins, probably squirrels.

Mouse traps baited with chunky peanut peanut or sticky traps with chunky peanut butter in the center.

Place several around the fruits. Pray until weigh off.
