Just discovered damage on outside of AG at several places.

How do I treat the gnaw marks? Will Captan and Daconil do the trick for treatment?

More importantly, is this going to disqualify the fruit for a weigh off, assuming the fruit can be saved?

I think, but am not sure, the fruit has to have a hole to the cavity to be disqualified.

I had damage to one pumkin earlier this year and Daconil was all I used as I did not have Captan. It is still on the vine and doing fine too.

The bite marks are not going to disqualify you for the weigh off. Some fungicide on the bites is a good idea to stop disease with the upvoming wet weather. Cover the pumkin and keep it dry and they should hard up
