Can anyone give me the exact measurements to make this fungicide?? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

This is the recipe I have Diane:

In 2 gallons of water
4-6 TBLS of baking soda
3 TBLS of bleach
1 teaspoon of dawn dishwashing liquid

I'm sure there are variations out there..

Thanks Bill,
Boily said something about this in the Pumpkin Talk Chat and I thought it really sounded good. I have been going back and forth between using Sevin or not using it because of burning. I think I will use Sevin one week and this the next week.
I know you can Bleach your pumpkins to protect them I read how to do that Don L Book. So I will do that also.
Things are slowly coming together.

Hey Diane, Don't confuse Sevin with a fungicide. If your bug problems aren't bad and you can go 2 weeks between applications that's great. I'm not famliar with the fungal infections in A dry sunny climate and you may get away without any Store bought fungicide. I do know this, there is nothing so sad as watching the pumpkins fuzz over and die half way through the season. I'm a veteran of the problem and as such think that prevention is worth a pound of cure! You work all year for this time and to try and get away with something that may not do the job could cost the year.

Hey Chuck,
Thanks for correcting me. I guess I was having a senior moment. I plan on using an insecticide/fungicide/fertilizer weekly. It is really something trying to figure out what you can get in your area to use for each purpose. I don't want to lose out because of my mistakes. Although I know I will be making the mistakes. Especially on my first season.

Diane,

Yes to the 1% oil. Just make sure it is a "SUPERIOR" or "6E" horticultural oil. True dormant oils are not refined enough for summer use & will cause damage at temperatures above 80-85*F. I would prefer to see folks use a high quality organosilicone surfactant in warm weather. The chances of causing damage with these is much less & they work a little better too.
On the down side; I doubt these can be purchased in retail garden centers. Expensive too.
