Does anyone know where I can purchase a pint of Admire 2F?
My local supplier can only purchase multiple gallon cases.
By the way this is labeled for cucumber, edible melons including hybrids, pumpkin, squash and watermelons.
will control aphids, cucumber beetles, thrips, whiteflies and although not labeled for: SVBs.

Stewee,
Here's a link to the supplemental label for Admire on Pumpkins. Len Stellpflug has a good article on this website in the how-to section where he finds Imidacloprid effective for SVB.
There are distributors that carry Admire in the 240ml (8 oz)bottle but we don't. We do carry Merit 75WP in 2 oz jars. These are not restricted use. But they're also not labeled for use on cucurbits of any kind. Merit is the Turf & Ornamental version of Imidacloprid.

Admire is labeled for Cucumber Beetles at 16 - 24 fluid oz per acre. That's .25 - .375 lbs of active ingredient per acre. 16 oz of Admire is about $90.00 so $90-$135/Acre

The equivalent rate for Merit75WP is three-four 2 oz jars (6-8 oz) per acre. this is also .25-.375 #AI/A
A 2 oz jar of Merit is about $40 so $120-$160 per acre this way.

Liberal government AG subsidies I guess? I have no idea why the cost difference really exists. Probably the extra toxicological testing that goes into prodcuts that are labeled for use around residential dwellings. As though food crops don't matter?

Of course I'm not suggesting that folks break our fine countries' pesticide laws. But it's always nice to know there are options.

Hope this helps,

Steve

Thanks Steve for the info. Because this product is labeled for all of my hollow stem squash and pumpkins, I have to have it. I'm hoping someone else has purchased it and that they can direct me to a dealer that has product on hand.
