While posistioning my pumpkin with a bamboo stick I "skinned" him up a little. There is a light brown spot where the damage was done. Please look at the picture in my growers diary (posted 6/20) and let me know if I should be doing anything about it.

If you have some Captan I would make a paste and apply it. I just read that Dave Stelts used straight bleech instead of Captan on wounds last year (and look what he grew!). You want to make sure fungus doesn't start to grow on the wound and cause the pumpkin to rot. I had this happen a couple of years ago when a rabbit decided to nibble one of my pumpkins. I did't treat the wound and eventually the pumpkin rotted from the inside out.
