I have moles in and around my pumpkin plants...they tunnel right into the main root systems. Is it time to panic? Last year they weren't a problem at all, but they are this spring already. Has it anything to do with the 2 compost tea drenches I've given them so far? I've heard smoke bombs work well, but will they kill my plants?

I bought one of these Mole Chaser Windmills..Since then I haven't had any mole issues. It seemed to work well and it is pretty cool looking. It gives of a vibration into the soil that the moles don't seem to like. For $18 it is worth a try..Mark http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_404015_404015?cm_ite=168360&cm_pla=Outdoors%3EPest%20Control&cm_cat=Google&cm_ven=Aggregates

get the taliprid(sp) worms...smash down all the tunnels. find the main tunnel. Cut up a piece of the worm..by by mole... Unless you are like Brigettes Dad and run a trapline..and keep track of your tally like a golf score.
