would hot pepper wax or garlic spray keep these pests from pecking holes in my leaves? while vine burying i noticed small peck hole on new growth.as the leaves get bigger the holes get bigger. looks like hail damage but i know its from the birds, droppings all over the canopy, scott

Fake Owl or netting..What they are pecking at is bugs.
