I can't get rid of them. I did a bayer drench last week and I am seeing dead ones on some of the bigger leaves, but they are putting a hurting on the growing tips with the small tender leaves.
It seems like the systemic insecticide is not traveling to the new growth ? Is that normal ? I don't want to spray the ends and end up burning the small leaves. I suppose I could dust the ends with seven . Any Ideas ?

The systemic alone doesn't completely take down cuke beetles, you will need to spray a contact. A weaker solution would kill the bugs and not burn the tips

Garlic Barrier or Repel which is basically the same thing. I have seen maybe 6-10 here in the last 4 years. I spray it every 7-10 days depending upon the weather. I spray everything around the patch. The lilacs the trees the tall grass the lawn everything. Don't even let them think something good is near by. You can kill them if you have them but why have them in the first place. And it is not just for cuke beetles. I believe in it and have been using it for several years now with good results.

I agree with Bhooked. Better to repel, than kill, especially from systemic. I've heard that called revenge killing. They have to eat the plant to die from systemic. If they are carrying disease, they have likely deposited their damage before they die. Contact spray (Talstar) every 10 days and Garlic spray every friday here is keeping them away for me. (and I drench with merit in new growth area every week and over entire patch once a month -- just in case).

Garlic powder in a one gallon sprayer.
How much of the garlic powder? and, Do you spray the leaves with it, or just around the plant?
Will it hurt the leaves?

I have used garlic powder with success for several years. I sprinkle it on directly when the plants are young, just like you are using sevin or Eight dust. When the plants get bigger it takes too much garlic powder that way. Then I will mix about 1/4 bottle in a sprayer any time I am applying insecticide or foliar fertilizers. If your patch smells like an Italian restaurant, the cukes will stay away. I'm paying $0.74 a bottle at Walmart now so it is cheap.

I get garlic powder in larger quantities from Sam's so I'm wondering how much in the sprayer (like 1/4 cup or 1/8th cup or what). Thanks

Will the powder go through the mesh filter in my pump sprayer ? Or does it basically flavor the water ?
