P and P..I figured I should share some info that other..credible...growers shared with me about dealing with my foaming stumps last year. 3 Things are key..airflow (dig out around the stump and set up a fan 24/7)...2..bleach (straight strength daily..just pour in and around the affected area frequently)...3..make key hole notches as necessary to clean out rotting debris and allow airflow and bleach to kill whatever the secondary infection is that is developing.. Keep as dry as possible!!! Hope this helps..Mark

Other options, 25-50% hydrogen peroxide, or alcohol for agents. After using any of the these then a heavy dusting of sulfur or Captan before adding the fan would be my suggestion.
Watch the vine very closely, if rot (brown tissue) begins to spread downstream don't hesitate to cut the vine and hope that you caught it in time. Most of these things are just delaying the inevitable but every day of growth counts in the end. If you have enough growth past the fruit and get the rot stopped you can still grow a nice fruit.
