All three of my female fruit, including two post pollination and one pre-pollination have groups of small holes in them. All the fruit are destroyed. I don't think we have SVBs here in Central California. Would fruit flys do that? I saw some small flys scatter from the area when I went to pull the foam cover off the day after pollination.

Are the petals still on by any chance? Do they look a little mushy when you see the flies?

I say that because I have a bucket for garden trimmings that go into my compost pile and when I toss male pumpkin blossoms in there after a couple of days they get mushy and start attracting fruit flies.

Yeah - the petals are still on and they look totally healthy.
