D37 almost 500 lbs. Giant tear (about 8") vertical on the blossom end. Season over for Big Boy. Any suggestions for next year? I didn't put much fertilizer on it at all so don't think I juiced it too much. Did put on lots of water. Any help appreciated.

Keep on trying. Blossom end blowouts happen to everyone, and excessive watering will definitely do it.

yep, sometimes you just get unlucky with the shape. A jolt in water can hit them a little too hard sometimes, but most of those times, it was going to happen eventually anyway.

Thanks for the support. I think it was probably the shape, it was shaped like a tire and the ott stem to blossom measurement really didn't change much in the last 6 days of life while the other measurments increased.

Still time to grow another if the plant is healthy.

Mr. A, try spreading that water out more evenly...a lil each day, ...other advice would be soil tests? and ask what to do w/ results!!! Lots of helpful, intelligent folks on this site!!! Peace, Wayne
