Please see the new pics in my diary.

Am I looking at Gummy Stem Blight or some type of burn from too much foliar applications?
I've been regularly doing alternated spraying with Bolster, Nutri-Cal, Sevin, Daconil/Dithane M-45 mix, and PGR IV.
Could fish manure slurry have caused or transferred a disease of some type? Burn from fungicide?

I have cut-off the offended leaves...we'll see what happens. Other than the pictured problem, the plants are healthy and vining 4-5" a day, a bit behind but rapidly catching up now that we have 80+ degree days and less rain.
What's up with my McCallums?

Bacterial wilts are hard for the rookie eye to see needs microscopes for proper diagnosis...anthracnose, fusaria, GSB, Alternaria often strike simultaneously water soaked grounds , then high heat and humidity....hmmm sound familiar... are serious breeding grounds...step up fungicides and do it early in am so everything dries up during your dry spells...most of the above are soil borne and vectored by splashing, cling to clothes and you walk it over to the next plant...tools and all items should be sanitize immediately!! or you know next season will be lost while you basomid or ridomil the whole patch area...good luck I hope this helps...Been There in NJ! Think Big

Commack, NY

It could just be as simple as leaf burn. now that its not raining, and temps are up, you might get some burn...i had some yesterday. Try and shade your plant a little and see what happens.

I'm inclined to agree with. I sprayed this AM. Had too. But used Scimitar at only 2 mls per gallon or just under a half teaspoon. I wouldn't have but I was in the home office all day today. As the temps began to soar, I was able to occasionaly step out & grab a smoke while hand misting.

Stupid me hasn't set up the automated misting system yet.

Kyle, send a sample of a bad plant to the local plant pathology lab anyway. If something big is starting, you may still have time to set things straight if you act fast.

I feel a little less anxious now, thank you guys.
However there is one thing..I spray either right after sunset or just before sunrise, never in the heat. And I always use 1/2 to 3/4 recommended doses.
I think I may be spraying too heavily and the runoff is hurting as well.
I'll keep an eye on it, fingers crossed.

Sunset if you can. I like mornings too. For my own lifestyle reasons. But plants must always be treated with at least the next 12 hours in mind. Or at least the time the spray will take to thoroughly dry. And that may take a while with respect to the emulsifiers in common pesticides. They won't look or feel wet. But the spray should still be considered "hot".
