Steve-
I know its best to only mix what you will use at the time. But if you mis-estimates how much, can you store a mix in your sprayer ?
if so how long can you store it ? (i guess it depends on what's in it)
if not -how do you dispose of it ? (down the toilet?)
thanks

Not in the toilet. Here on the Beg "E", that will kill more Lobsters as our afluent makes it's way into the Atlantic. Spray it out on another labeled crop. In my case here, I blow out the surplus on my Peach trees &/or the Roses (both of which would probably be gone if it weren't for pumpkins!)

A tank mix could last for 24-72 hours in some cases if stored in a cool area out of direct sunlight. But a lot has to do with the pH of the water used and obviously, what was used.

Trichlorfon (aka Dylox, Proxol, & as a granular, Bayer Advanced 24 Hour Grub Control) won't last 6 hours in an alkali spray tank. But properly buffered, it may las 20 hours.

People who use polyehtylene plastic spray tanks have very little time to apply with certain products if they're working in the direct sunlight. Four hours is advisable for Floramite Miticide (no more than 8). Yet ironically after the residue is dry, it will persisit on foliage for up to 28 days. Strange huh?

Don't take chances. Use it up on another crop or just spray it onto the lawn & keep the kids & pet's off for a day.
