Is there anything that can be used to keep rabbits and other varmits out of the garden besides building a fence? I use to get a powered that was to keep rabbits away but didnt work very well...anything else I could try?

I have Jack Russell Terriers, they'll kill anything if they're out of good stock. If you want try a live trap! Good luck for every one you see there's five more you don't!

I had to resort to using a .22 caliber rifle with sub-sonic ammo last year to rid my patch/garden of rabbits. Live traps didn't work, no matter what I put in them.
If you erect a fence, make sure the bottom extends horizontally under the soil away from the garden to prevent burrowing under the fence.
I haven't tried a motion-activated water sprayer. Maybe someone can advise how effective those are.

I've got a killer cat that takes care of them. The other thing that has truly worked for me is a product called "LIQUID FENCE". It is sold in the garden section at Wally Mart, Lowes, Home Kreepo, etc., comes in a spray bottle. Smells like rotten eggs, but you and spray it directly on plants and the rabbits, deer, and other varmints will stay away.

I am at work so I don't know the name, but I use something like Dan but it is granular\powder. It is a combination of eggs and dried blood specifically for rodents, rabbits etc.. bought mine at Lowes.

I heard dog hair works. My American Eskimo sheds all over and I have a field in my back yard,( a lot of wabbits) but most stay out. If I see one near I let them out and say git the bunny.

Fox or coyote urine works great. You just have to re-apply it after a rain. You can get this from trapping suppliers.
