not effecting my pumkins but im suspecting i got a bad dose of grass clippings at the local township dump. i put the clippings in my compost.i hauled half clippings and half leaf compost. i suspect the mixing of the two when i added leaf material is effecting my vegetable. question is how long does this stuff stay in the ground?

If it was 2-4-D it would make your pumpkins toast. We had grass clipping compost one year that was contaminated with Dicamba or Chlor**** something. It lasted the entire season. Thats whay I never accept grass clippings for my compost pile unless I know what you spray or put down
