I never trust information from someone who sells or promotes a product. Most university studies have concluded that neem oil is not very effective and is primarily a repellant.

The lack of patients is our biggest enemy. It is mine, lol. Farmer Ben your right about Neem oil being a "Repellant"..Universities have in fact concluded that it works but there is ongoing conflict of to what degree it is affective. So far this stuff has repelled the cucs and Squash bugs from destroying my plants since the plants have thee ability to take it into their systems and discourage the sucking and chewing bugs from just sitting there and destroying the plants. Nothing is a sure thing but along with all the other tools in my arsonal I do personaly like this one in the war. All last winter I looked up and read what to use and how all different products actually works. Neem oil in conjuction with other products "7" and others can be an affective control but like I said with what experience I have with the AG's so far it seems to help alot. Heck I even put up Fly tape out in the patch and at the end of the day I have to pitch a full roll because its filled. I put out 5 per plant. I'm surrounded by Corn and Soybean fields so the bugs are here in numbers already. Good points Linus Van Pelt on the heat and tender leaves. I also spray "Vlock Oil" every two weeks. It kills eggs of dormant over winter pests but i knocks out Squash Bugs eggs if you miss them too. Its safe to spray on the kins just follow direction. I would love to here what other growers are using, in what geographic locations or what "Not" to use...you won't here much from some here for various reasons I've come to find out...I've direct e'mailed some of the more experienced veteran AG growers with likely knowledgable questions and all you hear is crickets..but on the other hand some of the people will bend over backwards for you in your quest for knowledge to this crazy hobby. There are alot on here that do pass on good info like Farmer Ben and others I've seen...If this info is below par I apologize for posting it.
