I've got some leaves that are yellowing around the edges on a couple of spots on my plant. There is some damage to the secondary where this pic was taken so I'm wonddering if that is the cause? The vine got damaged during a storm and split.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Is the entire plant growing over grass or just a portion?

When you say, “a couple of spots on my plant” are the areas consistent (new growth, old growth, same secondary vine,…) or completely random?

Based on an initial quick look I am favoring some sort of nutrient deficiency that could be a result due to competition with the grass.

The spots appear on a couple areas near the ends of some secondaries and on the main. Its weird because the yellowing is not at the end of the vine. The growth at the end is nice and green like it should be. It a foot or two from the end where these few leaves look like this.

The grass in the pic is where the secondary has gone out of the boundary of my plot in the yard. Its only the very ends of teh vine that are in the grass, the rest of them are in the patch...

But now that I think about it the spots where the yellow is are on the grass areas though the ends of those vines are nice and green and on the grass as well...

Well....my opinion is this......its just the plant cutting off the growth to the tips of the secondaries while it concentrates on sending all its resourses to a fast growing fruit......got one?

I am sticking with "nutrient stress" of some kind. As the problem is not wide spread or sever there is just a little something missing that the plant is not up-taking all that it needs.
