This year was my best effort with a compost pile, but I did notice an abundance of common grubs. It now appears these grubs are maturing into 1/2 inch long beetles. I assume these are not good and need to be killed, right? I only see them on the ground, not on leaves. Can someone please recommend a spray for them.

not all bugs are bad. Try to identify it before drowning it in chemicals

Your compost pile is not hot enough if you have grubs in it...milky spore will take care of grubs

Thanks all! Linus, Yes, I believe my compost pile was not hot enough--- so worms are not affected by a hotter pile, but the grubs are? My pile did decompose thoroughly, so I thought all was well.
