everything going well until heat, humidity set in with lots of water. now i have some form of quick acting highly contagious vine rot. seems to set in and make a small portion of vine go soft and collapse then rot, killing vine. I had a contaminated vine cross my main now the main is toast. i cut open soft spot in vine. It seemed to be milky white at the rot spot inside vine. any thoughts on what this is and what may have caused it? Thanks for Help.

Sounds like bacterial soft rot. I have the same problem this year. It enters the plant from damage from storms, or cutting leaves or vines off the plant and not cleaning the cuts.. Spraying with a copper base fungicide, or Quadris may help.
