Steve,,I had cuke beetles pretty bad about 3 weeks ago..I have been using this product to control whiteflies and also with baking soda to control P Mildew..Appears to be no cuke beetles left around as I have not seen any in a few weeks now..I was reading last night and saw an article which says neem oil kills c beetles..My question for you is has this product done them in,,or is the ground so wet from rain that their eggs are not hatching???

In theory the oil *could* destroy some (if not all) of the eggs if the oil contacted the eggs. But since they lay their eggs in soil, this would normally be a tall order to fill. But with high volume sprays & all the rain, some oil may have reached the eggs directly. And I can't say what effect the surplus rain water may have had on the eggs themselves. Perhaps they floated away? LOL

Interesting thoughts here. Keep scouting carefully. The rain may have simply delayed the hatch & your next post here could be the cries of a frustrated grower.

How has the Baking Soda/Oil combo been working for you? My son's school is showing Powdery Mildew & I can't use conventional fungicides there without filling out piles of paperwork. You using the Cornell rates?

Steve,,
Thanks for the quick response. I have had great results so far with the hort oil and baking soda..No PM since i pulled all old plants.I found one leaf one afternoon and got it nipped in the bud so far.I'm really surprised because we have had 36 days of rain in last 41 days.Wet,sultry, and humid..No relief in sight...I have rotated my fugi sprays this year.. Daconil, hort oil/Baking soda,,and Immunioux...Good Luck...
Link is for the mixture I been useing..Under Bicarbonates ...

That's the same rate as Cornell. I'll try it. Her at home I use heavy duty commercial fungicides & the plants are 100% clean. But the school is different.

Thanks Jeff.
