Yes it is me KYGROWER again with another DISEASE.. THink I'll change my screen name to DISEASEGROWER. Loosing my Garrell plant now. She was going so great, and i'd gotten so much help here, but not looking good. If anyone has spare time and check my diary, give me an idea of what it is and how to stop it. Already lost 2 of 4 plants, now looks like it will be 3 of 4.

Kygrower,

I would take cuttings (leaves and stems) and have them professionally examined. An agriculture university may be able to help or your county or state lab. I think you need to know the exact cause so you can properly treat.

after further inspection, I found some vine rot under dirt where burried on the main near all the disease area. The vine rot area had 1 hole that looked like a svb entrance. Slit vine and found no svb though. I went on and injected some warrior into it any way. Uncovered all slightly rot area and letting dry now with fan on that area. After drying out, will captan the area and hope for the best.
By the way about another 30-40 leaves are going now in last 4 hrs. Not my day! tried to take son fishing, and motor will not run. that's why back now so early. Mark this day down as HORRIBLE!!

I too am growing the 704 garrell.All of my leaves are dropping,rotting at the base of the stem and then the whole leaf drops then dies.I was losing about 15 leaves a day but its slowed down some now about 4 to 5 a day now.It was a very aggressive grower in the beginning and had a pumpkin set at about 11feet out.2 weeks ago it was growing 25 to 30lbs a day and now its only 5 to 10lbs a day.Its struggling to get to 600lbs now.I have been putting more potash on it so lets see what happens.

I have had the same thing happen to my 805 Pukos. I cut sections of the vines and leafs and sent them off to get tested. I will let you know what they find.
