im in n.y. and i've never had so many pumpkins large 75lbs or small ones get soft and rot, any ideas why

Sobie - explain rot - did they turn black , develop white foam, rot around the stem? You need to get them out of your patch if you are expecting to plant there next year.

I had several get frosted and then develop soft spots.
