hi folks! i'm fairly new to this pumpkin patch growing and struggling once again this trying to fight off the squash vine borer! i need advice on the best vine borer killer out on the market. what really works? do you recommend a systematic treatment? my local co-op said that would get into the plant and kill anything that would try to eat into it. is this true? if so, what is the best? thank you for your help.

Your're just a couple of days behind me... check out the string of posts on this board under "HELP, First time grower..."

I got lots of suggestions about dealing with them, although am still fighting the battle. Good Luck.
