I remember an old post about someone seeing small maggots or translucent worms inside seed coats or on sprouts that were not corn seed maggots. In a test run a friend found one on a cot after helping it remove itscoat. He used a seed starter mix. Is it possible to have insects eggs inside a normal healthy looking seed if the pumpkin cavity was never breached until I removed the seeds? Very weird and a new one to me. By gut says its in the mix but not sure what kind of insects in early hatching stage this could be. Any thoughts are appreciated as his prime seeds are in the chamber with the same seed starter mix. Thanks.

I found it. Here is the link to a previous post if anyone comes across them this spring.
