Little background, holes first appeared when the leaf was smaller, about 5 days ago, grew with the size of the leaf. Took numerous trips to try and catch any bugs, and about two hours ago I found what looked like a fruit fly, and on the bottom of the leaf appeared to be the remainder of its "shell" I'm assuming it hatched from. Earlier in month the cold frame was infested with them.

Would like to know what it is so how to prevent it in the future.

Reminds me of slug damage. Mine look similar. Could be other causes though.

No obvious signs of slugs, the usual slime trail etc. I have slug pellets down in a large area around the frame and have yet to see one this year.

I believe your flies in the cold frame were corn seed maggot adults.

The shell you found sounds like a whitefly pupa case.

In any case, it's definitely time to spray ASAP.

Hard to say until symptoms appear. Here's a link to diagnose symptoms:

I checked through those and it looks like downy, but I'm a new, aka I'm hoping someone with more experience will give me good news even though my gut tells me its doomed and two months of time and money are gone, I also hope I cant get some information on the best way to prevent this again, so next year it doesn't happen again. I'm going to upload some pics to my Diary before bed, I work 3rd's, so they should be up sometime today if someone could check it out and let me know that would be great. There is a photo of the bugs I found resting on top dead after I sprayed bayer advanced last night, and some things I'm pretty sure are fly maggots that were around the stump area. I used my finger as careful as I could and found a few, but did notice the roots coming out the stem were white and healthy looking. That evidence is what makes me believe its bacteria.

TLDR = Help check my diary in few hours after photos get excepted.

and as for symptoms, maybe the photo doesn't represent the actual yellowing that is occurring. So a better photo will be added of two leafs that demonstrate it more clearly.

But I'm starting to wonder, the potted plant on the side, which gets no love is doing great lol. Problem is if this ones done, that one has no purpose so I'll love on him too :)

Looks like UV or Chemical Burn to me...to early for Downy Mildew. New Growers spraying inside there hoops are asking for trouble..most of these chemicals and fertilizers are not intended for greenhouse use. The outgassing burn the tender plant growth. The same thig will happen if you have a week of cold cloudy weather and the sun pops out, and it is a brigth beautiful day

Plant a healthy plant or throw some radish seeds in your FREE compost...I suspect that it is your issue

I believe you have a herbicide residual in your compost. Which is limiting the plants ability to produce chlorophyl
