Whats a good way to keep them out? They have killed a couple pumpkin plants but are mainly only eating off one leaf at a time. The plants keep rebounding but still annoying

Chicken wire fence pinned to the ground so they can't go under, or blood meal sprinkled around, or rabbit stew.

In a field application such as yours plant a feeder crop such as green beans along the side of the field. They prefer beans and peas over pumpkins...Otherwise you are going to need some owls at night and hawks during the day :) Good Luck growing them in a field several acres big can be a major task. We had striped gophers, took me two years to control the population with a strategic removal process.

I second the chicken wire if area is small enough. That's what I have had to do the past 3 years and it has been affective for rabbits. Not so munch for squirrels and chipmunks.

Once they get a taste, or try to burrow, they are relentless..... I have read where they run in a circle always returning back to where they came...and start all over again.... I don't like to... but I have to .... Rambo them...BiZ iZ a good shot, he is for hire.....

I ended up borrowing my in laws blue healer for a week. Haven't seen a rabbit since. Crazy dogs but man do they do the trick.

Sub sonic .22 ammo and a high power scope.
This assumes you are a safe shooter and follow state laws regarding nuisance animals.
