Hi all, I have a small horizontal split running along my main that is being caused by a secondary stressing that area. Is it worth cutting off the secondary by the main to ensure it doesnt get worse, or should I let nature take its course? My only worry is that I want there to be enough plant behind a fruit by pollination time. The main is sitting around 8ft at this time.

if in doubt cut it out, you can always fill the space with another vine.

i agree with Josh. Better to lose one vine than bust the main. If something bad is happening and you don't do something to prevent it, it rarely gets better.
Good Luck.
