Here is a link to a photo of some of my squash plants from last year:

They got invaded by insects, but I was still able to save most of the squash.
I am trying to identify these insects so that I can be better prepared this season.

To me they look like Assasin Bug Nymphs. Which are good bugs...I would need a better picture to indentify them 100%. Do not spray these bugs as they are a sign of a healthy garden.To many people see a bug and think they have to kill it...

They do look like assassin bug nymphs but because of the number of them I would guess that they are leaf footers, a member of the stink bug family. Unlike assassin bugs these are the bad guys.
