I have not used much bug protection in the past. seven etc.
this year im trying to do more damage control and have a very active curious 19 month old son. is there an effective way to protect plants without having t quarantine all frm going near the plant

There are many organic ways...but with organic you are taking on risk. Go to any good local garden center and ask them where there organics are. There are some fairly good contact insecticides and fungicides

I have a 21 month old and 8 week old and am in the same boat. I use Organocide, garlic barrier and some Neem oil for insects. Actinovate, 50/50 Milk and water, Organocide for disease. It isn't nearly as affective, but I'd rather be safe if the 21 month old decided to eat a flower. He can rip the chicken wire and fencing down pretty fast.
