The few oldest leaves on my 1775 are starting to turn a little yellow and getting a bit crunchy. I am assuming this is normal due to age. Do some of you more experienced growers cut these leaves off when they turn?

I would cut them off there no productive as lond as you have good leaf count.Check the bottoms for inscects.

"Old leaf age" is a possibility but this time of year your plant should not be that old.

Are these the only leaves showing this problem? While these few leaves will not make or break your season if it is a problem and you remove the leaves it will make it harder to make a diagnosis when the problem is potentially small and easily controllable. Get back to me with more details and I will do my best to offer a diagnosis.

This year my plants almost died mid June, because we´ve had lots of rain and cold weather the 2nd half of May and beginning of June. Rood systems suffered extremely. Beginning July the plants started to recover (slowly), and the few leaves the plants had grown during their worst time of their short lives (1st half of June) show similar symptoms. In my opinion, it might be an "old leaves symptom" if the leaves are doomed to die young, for example if there had been extreme stress to the plant while it grew those leaves and therefore wasn´t able to grow perfectly healthy leaves.
