I had to amputate a rotten stump. I removed 16 inches of the main vine and the first secondary, and packed the interior of the vine with sulfur, as well as rubbing sulfur on the outside.

Any further actions I should take to grow the fruit without a stump?

I cut the stump off + 8ft and the plant hasn't missed a beat, it's still growing like crazy. Also, I have another that is just a secondary(no other part of plant) growing a nice fruit over 60incc day 24. I just made sure they were watered more often so they wouldn't be stressed and would grow more roots. I did the sulfur and kept dry.
