I picked out 3 SVB grubs all in the first 8 inches of my 'Big Max' pumpkin plant's stump. The stump looks good despite the three holes in it. The pumpkin is growing well still. I am getting a couple random leaves progressively yellowing from the edge in and then dying - I have not checked them for SVB yet. The rest of the plant looks good with good growth and no wilting.
Is there anything I can do to help the plant along at this point or just continue spraying insecticide and monitoring for more SVB?

Check the vine on the yellowing leaves for SVB. Continue spraying with a systemic pesticide & keep an eye on your vines & stump for any signs of other bugs. Good luck.

Ok, sounds good. I didn't know if there was anything more I could do besides checking for more SVB and continuing to spray. I checked a couple of the yellowing leaves and no SVB at their base. Perhaps it is normal senescence of the leaves? the only leaves affected are about 6-8 of them around the stump and first 1-2 feet of the first 4 primaries. I should post pictures . . .

get a small needle and inject it into the stump. worked for me. now prevent rot using peroxide and keep the stump dry. My stump was attacked by SVB about 4-6 weeks ago and i've been fighting rot ever since.
