my pumpkin started getting stem end splits on the shoulder of the kin around 40(DAP).I have a fan on it and captan fungicide.Could the cold temps be making it worse? Leave fan on at night blowing cold air or just during day when warmer?

well I put fan on a timer so its not blowing cold nighttime air. We have ben in the 50's and upper 40's at night, for far to long. splits are heeling nice.:)gains are way down compared to last season. I guess the heaters could of stayed in the patch thru august.
