Raining a lot again and these guys seem to be multiplying. What do you use? Shouldn't Imadocloprid be taking care of these jerks?

Farming- a bunch of catastrophies that result in a lifestyle

We have them bad here too spar, imadocloprid doesn't seem to do anything here either, so I got some slug and snail bait. Didn't bother pumpkins at all and cut the population down. I still them sitting on the pumpkins every morning...they don't seem to be harming the pumpkins at all...

Put a pie pan in a shallow hole. Fill pan with CHEAP beer. Cover pan with lean-to shelter. Scoop out dead slugs in morning.

PS: I've read slugs like the expensive brews better than the cheap stuff , but I could never bring myself to waste the high test beer on the little munchkins-- they WILL nibble on your fruit.

Lost my earliest set on the 1197 MacCoy to the dirty germs these nasty beasts carry... all remaining 'kins on this plant are open polls

I have really good luck with a product called sluggo. It comes in a pelleted form which is easy to apply and is a certified organic product. It is composed of Iron phosphite. This product not only kills the slugs after they eat it, but it provides iron and phosphorous to the plant.

Sluggo is great. It's best to start using it as soon as pumpkin plants are put out, and then refreshed every couple of weeks.
