I am not sold on them. I use them cause everyone else does but think they may be well marketed bs. If you are a hard core organic grower then that's all you have but if you are serious about disease control you need the chemical fungicides. think of it this way, where would you bet your money if you were taking on pythium, fusarium, pm..etc.. a happy organic biological/beneficial bacteria or a nuclear attack with subdue, clearys, terrazole, alliette? I guess the bios can be somewhat effective if applied as a preventative but to really stop disease go nuclear, just the inconvenient truth.

Biological early then do what ever you have to do to get a big pumpkin to the end, titanic unfortunately,,,, so right.
I did biologicals all season this year,,,,,,,,,,, fusarium took me out quick!
Next year,,,,,,,,,,,, the kids won't be playing marbles next to the patch!

What is difficult about bio-fungicides in general is that their degree of effectiveness can be influenced by the weather that occurs during the time period of application.
The "best" environmentally safe fungicide that I have used (and tested) has been 40% milk + 60% water to control powdery mildew.

Agree i used milk straight from the cow mixed at 50 50 had very little pm.
