Guess what a german pesticide manufacture advises against powdery mildew? "Choose pm resistant breeds".
LOL, need to give up the hobby then. Ever heard an AG would be resistant against insects or deseases? No, all that crap likes AG´s most.
If there´s anything apart from weight that needs to be improved for AG´s - give these plants an immune system;-)

Isn't it just amazing that the worlds largest fruit is produced on what might arguably be called the worlds least durable plant? - Steve

I will second that one G. Field pumpkins were hit hard by PM and they were sprayed more often than my Atlantic Giants. Three of my Atlantic Giant plants still looking solid green. Although no fruit anymore:(

I never had a bit of powdery mildew on my pumpkin plants until used overhead watering. Next year, I will just water the soil beneath the plants. The one plant that just had soil watering had absolutely no mildew.
