I'm just wondering what the typical mixing rate is for these products? The labels have suggested rates but do you use a different rate for pumpkin application? Also, should I apply only as a soil drench or go liar feed too?

Bifen is a contact insecticide. It won't do you any good as a soil drench. You will need to spray the leaves.
