Well my vine from ground to cot leaves split& opened out flat for bout 6" .its the part that light greenish& white before the cot leaves.the rest of the 8" vine is fine& over 1" in diameter.replant or see what happens?

A few of my AGs did the same exact thing! I thought it might be the squash vine borer but it just looks split and then rotten, I guess all you can do is replant the stem?

That's what I did buried the stem.plant is growing fine for now
