I am having a problem with slugs. they keep eating on my squash where a mouse has chewed a spot . I have dusted the spot with fungicide but every night they come back

This worked for me: Put some doubled painters tape, sticky side out around the mouse munched spot. Stick slug granuals to the tape side facing out. They are that instead of pumpkin....hopefully dying miserably. Lol. Anyway. No more slug snails attacking the spot on mine...I "sorta hit with the weed eater".

Another easy, and organic remedy is to make a beer trap. I take a pie tin and bury it just so that the lip is flush with the soil. Add a half inch of beer. I might suggest a nice domestic macro-brew. :D
Snails and slugs LOVE beer. And they fizzle and drown in it. Sorta like some of us!
